Best Male Athlete on Social Media
As one of the greatest athletes of all time, there isn’t much Tom Brady hasn't mastered. But social media wasn’t at the top of his resume until recently. While his mock newsletter, The TB Times (which featured cartoon imagery celebrating Patriots victories) was a mysterious hit with fans on Instagram in the past, the New England quarterback stepped up his post-game posting game for the 2018-2019 season.
Brady exhibits social engagement on a candidly personal level, giving fans raw insight through playful videos that range from his son joyfully celebrating to him and Gronk trolling their haters after an AFC Championship Game victory (which saw 10M video views on IG). His latest major hit? Racking up 112K followers in just two hours on Twitter after making his platform debut on April Fools with a faux retirement announcement.
I'm retiring. In my spare time, I'll be tweeting #LFG— Tom Brady (@TomBrady) April 1, 2019
